While acting is Aurea’s truest love, she is currently also focused on developing her screenwriting and Directing career. She loves being immersed in filmmaking and theatre and looks forward to expanding her body of work on stage, behind the curtain, on camera, and behind it as well.

While Aurea identifies as a limitless artist, acting has always been her truest passion. She finds inspiration from her life experiences and channels what life has to offer in her work. Her acting influences range from Jennifer Lopez, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Angela Bassett, Meryl Streep, Rosie Perez, Angelina Jolie, Zoe Saldana and Diane Keaton.

She trained at Fairleigh Dickinson University and The City College of New York Theatre departments. Most recently she has trained with renowned Casting Director Tracey Moore and Emmy Nominated Award Winning Actor Geoffrey Blake from the The Working Actors Studio. She is also a member of Hollywood’s Winner Circle founded by Wendy Alane Wright.

On October 2022, Aurea performed again as "Millie Gomez" in the 12th time sold out Off-Broadway show Checklist the Play at the Symphony Space in NYC. She also acted in season two of Inside the Black Box hosted by Joe Morton and Tracey Moore, now streaming on Crackle TV. Recently in March and April 2023, she performed an original play called Pressures, produced by The New Professional Theatre, where she toured NYC public high schools, performing in an immersive and interactive play circled around the pressures students face post graduation.
